BATH, N.Y. (WENY) -- The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation is developing a remediation plan to cleanup toxic materials discovered at the site of the former Philips Lighting Company in Bath.
The 39-acre manufacturing complex located on State Route 54 was closed in 2014 and torn down in 2020. Before it became Philips Lighting Co., the property served as a plant for the Westinghouse Electric Corporation. It was first developed for industrial use in 1951.
